The Lagos State Government has asked Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase to take over investigation into the death of former Lekki Worldwide Limited Alhaji Tajudeen Disu last October 12 at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
The Lagos State Government at the weekend released the White Paper on Inquiry into causes of civil disturbances at the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) that led to assassination of the GM of LFTZ, Alhaji Tajudeen Dish.
In a statement signed by the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, demanded the IGP to be requested through the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, to take over the investigation.
He said the State Government accepted most of the recommendations of the Tribunal part of which included a directive asking that the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase be requested through the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, to take over investigation into the gruesome killing of Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Limited Alhaji Tajudeen Disu as a fallout of the unrest.
The directive, according to the Commissioner, became imperative owing to the need to resolve the mystery surrounding Disu’s killing.
