Jose Mourinho has welcomed Pele to his “new house” as he prepares to take charge at Old Trafford for the first time. UK Mirror reports.
There had been talk that Mourinho would defer responsibilities over to Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce , who is his assistant for the team comprising of celebrities and legends.
But the 53-year-old will take charge and he arrived in a cheerful mood as he entered the stadium alongside his all-star cast.
And while he’s not playing Brazilian legend Pele is in attendance and Mourinho took to Instagram to welcome him.
The likes of Robbie Williams , Olly Murs , Jack Whitehal , John Bishop , Damian Lewis, Mark Wright and One Direction star Louis Tomlinson are all set to take to the field later this evening.
Former England players Jamie Carragher, David Seaman, Phil Neville, Sol Campbell and Jermain Defoe are also in the squad and set to feature.
It’s the first time United fans in attendance will get to see the Special One in the home dugout.
