Militants blow up another oil facility in Delta

The Niger Delta Avengers strike again, this time, blowing up oil installations belonging to Chevron and Nigerian Petroleum Developing Country (NDPC).

The separatist group which confirmed the suspension of its twitter handle yesterday, blew up two manifolds operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company at Batan Community in Warri South West Council Area of Delta State on Monday night, Punch reports.

According to the report, the agitators carried out the attack at about 10:35pm and 11:20pm.

The Avengers also attacked two other trunklines belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in the area.

Similarly, an oil well identified as ‘well 10’ operated by Chevron at Makaraba village of Gbaramatu Kingdom was also attacked at the same time as that of NPDC.
