This is the terrifying moment a sheriff’s deputy threatened his ex-girlfriend with his gun before shooting her and then committing suicide.
Florida detective Michael DeMarco, 55, shot Yuly Solano, 41, and then killed himself during the horrific incident on October 12.
The pair had reportedly recently broken up, according to US media reports, before the fatal confrontation that was captured on surveillance video.
“You treat me worse than a dog,” DeMarco said moments before firing his gun at the home in Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County, according to newly released documents.
In the footage, DeMarco in his uniform as he drives his unmarked sheriff’s car up to Solano as she walks her dog, Coco.
He is then seen pulling out his service weapon before he shooting her once in the arm and twice in the chest.
He then places the gun to his head, the Palm Beach Post reports, though the Mirror Online is not showing either death.
On a GoFundMe Page, Yuly’s daughter Aryana writes: “My mother has been hospitalized in ICU since Oct 12 of this year due to an abusive attack from her ex boyfriend.
“She was shot four times and has survived! She is a miracle of God! She is my angel.”
“As she has been in the hospital she is no longer working,” her daughter continued.
“I am a college student and right after my classes im rushing home to walk my doggie CoCo to then afterwards drive 30min to be by my mother’s side in the hospital.
“Neither one of has a steady income and every little bit helps!”
So far the fundraising page has raised around $3300 of a $20,000 target.
Footage of the killing has been released by local police, and the victim has since given an interview to police saying DeMarco was ‘racist and possessive’ according to Palm Beach Post.
The news site adds that Yuly is now planning to sue the sheriff’s office for failing to supervise her ex, who she said was “clearly battling mental duress and emotional troubles”.
