Southampton star Sadio Mane will arrive at Anfield in the next 24 hours to complete a spectacular £30million Liverpool move.
The 24-year-old forward will undergo a medical and finalise contract terms before being unveiled on Tuesday as the fourth signing of Jurgen Klopp’s reign.
The Reds agreed a fee for Senegal international Mane over the weekend, after the Saints reduced their asking price of £40m for a player who has scored 25 goals in 75 Premier League games.
Boss Klopp targeted the forward after failing in an attempt to persuade Germany international Mario Gotze, who he managed at Borussia Dortmund, to leave Bayern Munich.
The forward’s versatility is one of the key attractions for the Reds. He is able to operate wide as a pacy winger, or behind a striker, and even play off the front as a second forward.
